Kwethluk is a city located in the Bethel Census Area of Alaska, situated at the confluence of the Kuskokwim and Kwethluk rivers in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta. The city's name comes from the Yupik language, derived from kuik, meaning "river," combined with -rrluk, meaning "bad" or "unnatural," a reference to the constantly changing river channel in the area.
