Selling a car in Fort Bragg shouldn't mean driving it anywhere — and with us, it doesn't. We work throughout Mendocino County and come straight to you, whether you're near the center of town or out toward the county line.
Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of Fort Bragg, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.
Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in Fort Bragg: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.
Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Fort Bragg or Mendocino County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.
Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in Fort Bragg falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Fort Bragg.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Fort Bragg on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in Fort Bragg means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.
No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.
Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

Fort Bragg is a city on California's North Coast in Mendocino County, located 24 miles west of Willits at an elevation of 85 feet. With a population of 6,983 at the 2020 census, the city has become known as a tourist destination, drawing visitors to its Pacific Ocean views, Glass Beach, and the California Western Railroad, famously called the "Skunk Train."
The area was home to Pomo Native Americans long before Western expansion arrived. In 1857, Fort Bragg was established as a military garrison by 1st Lt. Horatio G. Gibson, who named it after his former commanding officer Capt. Braxton Bragg. The post remained active through several company rotations until its evacuation and abandonment in October 1864. The Mendocino Indian Reservation was discontinued in 1866, and the land opened for settlement three years later.
After the fort's abandonment in 1867, lumber mills began operating at creek mouths throughout the area. In 1885, C. R. Johnson and partners moved their sawmill machinery to Fort Bragg to utilize the harbor for shipping, incorporating as the Fort Bragg Redwood Company. Following a merger in 1891, the operation became the Union Lumber Company. Fort Bragg itself was incorporated in 1889 with Johnson as its first mayor. The company later established the California Western Railroad and Navigation Company in 1905, eventually pushing rail connections toward Willits. The 1906 earthquake caused significant damage to brick buildings and downtown structures, yet the city rebuilt within twelve months.
