What Sets Wee Pay Cash For Cars Apart in Martin

Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.

  • The amount we quote you over the phone is the amount you're paid on the spot — as long as the vehicle's condition matches what you told us.
  • We show up on time and come to you, wherever your car is in Martin.
  • We bring the DMV paperwork and walk you through it at pickup.
  • Free towing is always included — never subtracted from your offer.
  • You pick the time that works, and we plan around it, anywhere in Martin and Weakley County.

The Process

How It Works in Martin

From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.

1

Tell Us About the Car

Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.

2

We Drive Out to Martin

Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in Martin: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.

3

Get Paid Before We Leave

Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.

Check Your Paperwork

Can I Sell My Car in Martin?

Two questions. Tells you exactly where you stand.

Do you have the title in your name?

Is there still a loan or lien on the car?

This includes title loans, and any bank or lender listed as lienholder.

If you have the title and it's paid off

You're good to go

Clean title, no lien. Have the title, a photo ID, and the keys ready at pickup — our driver brings the rest of the paperwork.

Get my cash offer
If you've lost the title (and there's no lien)

Still workable

A missing title usually isn't a dealbreaker. Bring a photo ID and the vehicle registration if you have it. We handle no-title sales regularly — just tell us your situation when you call.

Get my cash offer
If there's still a lien or title loan on the car

Not yet — the lien has to be cleared first

A car with an active lien or title loan can't be sold until the lender releases it. Pay off the balance, get the lien release from your lender, and the title becomes yours to sell. Once that's done, give us a call — we'll buy it.

If you're not sure whether there's a lien

Easy to check

Look at the front of your title — if a bank or lender is printed in the lienholder section, there's a lien on the car. If you financed it and haven't paid it off, assume there is one. Still unsure? Call us and we'll work through it with you.

If you have no title and aren't sure about a lien

Check with your lender

Without the title in hand, the quickest way to know is to contact the lender you financed through, or request a title record from your state's motor vehicle office. If you never financed the car, there's almost certainly no lien. Call us and we'll help you sort it out.

How to Sign Over a Car Title in Tennessee

Selling a car in Martin means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what Tennessee asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.

Where to sign

In Tennessee, sign the title in the seller section and complete the odometer.

Notary required?

No — notarization is not required.

Your license plates

Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.

Lost your title?

No problem — apply for a duplicate title at your county clerk office.

No title in hand? Bring ID and registration and we will guide you through the Tennessee steps.

Good to know: Tennessee plates stay with the seller and can be transferred.

For the official rules, see the Tennessee DMV title page.

Why Wee Pay Cash For Cars in Martin?

Done Properly — Start to Finish

The Quote Is the Price

The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.

We Pick Up on Your Schedule

Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Martin or Weakley County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.

We Handle the Paperwork

Selling a car in Tennessee takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. Don't have the title? That's usually workable — just tell us up front. The one thing we can't buy is a car with an active lien or title loan on it.

Towing Is Free, and You're Paid Before It Leaves

The tow costs you nothing — it isn't folded into the offer or taken out afterward. You're paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.

Where Your Car Goes Next

Every car we buy may be resold at auction, used for parts, or recycled at a licensed Tennessee yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.

What We Buy in Martin

Whatever Shape It's In, We're Interested

Every car we look at in Martin falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.

Good Running Condition

Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.

Junk / Scrap Condition

Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.

Salvage / Totaled

Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.

Bad Motor or Transmission

Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.

No Title in Hand

Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. The one exception: we can't buy a car that still has an active lien or title loan on it.

Junk Car Prices — Martin, TN

What Is a Junk Car Worth in Martin?

The floor on any junk car is its weight in scrap metal. As of September 2026, U.S. yards are paying roughly $150–$200 a ton for whole cars. Multiply that by your car's weight and you have the least it's worth.

Cars with good parts, a catalytic converter still on, or an engine that runs are often worth more than scrap — that's why we price every car on a call, not a chart.

The scrap math

weight ÷ 2,000 × price per ton

A 3,300 lb sedan is 1.65 tons. At $175 a ton, that's about $290 in metal.

Can I get $500 for my junk car?

Sometimes. At today's rates a full-size truck or SUV can reach $500 on weight alone. Smaller cars usually need something extra — a newer year, good parts, or a running engine.

Vehicle typeExamplesTypical weightScrap value
Compact carCivic, Corolla, Focus · 2,800 lbs Civic, Corolla, Focus 2,800 lbs $210–$280
Midsize sedanCamry, Accord, Malibu · 3,300 lbs Camry, Accord, Malibu 3,300 lbs $250–$330

Full-size SUVTahoe, Expedition, Suburban · 5,600 lbs Tahoe, Expedition, Suburban 5,600 lbs $420–$560

Scrap rates as of September 2026, updated monthly. Scrap value is a floor, not a quote — yards subtract for tires and fluids, and your actual offer depends on your car. Call 800-219-4551 for your real offer.

A Little About Martin

The Story of Martin, TN

Martin, Tennessee, a city in Weakley County, is home to 10,825 residents according to the 2020 census. The city bears the name of Captain William Martin, who was born in Halifax County, Virginia in 1806 and relocated to Weakley County with his wife Sarah in 1832. Captain Martin built his prosperity through tobacco farming and began efforts to establish a railroad connection to the area in 1852. Though he passed away in 1859, his sons, particularly George W. Martin, continued his vision and successfully persuaded the Mississippi Central Railroad to locate a connection with the Nashville and Northwestern Railroad in 1872. The town was originally called Green Briar Glade, then renamed Frost in honor of an Illinois Central Railroad official. In 1874, Martin's sons and another partner sold their land to the Mississippi Central Railroad, which renamed the area Martin to honor William Martin and promote the region. The town was officially laid out in September 1874 and incorporated that same year, beginning with just 36 residents. Martin's early years were marked by significant challenges, including a devastating yellow fever outbreak in 1878 that infected 400 of the city's 500 inhabitants and claimed 52 lives, followed later by a smallpox epidemic. The city developed steadily through subsequent decades, with infrastructure improvements including concrete sidewalks, gravel streets, and a sewer system. Martin is perhaps best known today as the home of the University of Tennessee at Martin, and the city has produced notable alumni and residents across various fields.
