We buy cars for cash all over Onekama and the surrounding Manistee County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
Plenty of folks figure a tired old car is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and the figure tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what yours is genuinely worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. A lot of them will dangle a tempting number, then disappear once they've seen it, or shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's simply not how we work.
We service every part of Onekama, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition. A genuine offer comes back inside two minutes — nobody calling you back later, nobody twisting your arm.
Say yes and choose a time that suits you — frequently same-day or the day after. We roll out to wherever the car sits in Onekama: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, loads the car, and puts payment in your hands before pulling away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
You've probably heard how it goes elsewhere: a high number to reel you in, then the driver arrives, "finds" a bad converter or a shot transmission mount, and suddenly your offer is $300 lighter. We've lost count of how many Onekama sellers have told us that exact story. We price your car honestly up front, and that figure is what we hand over — full stop.
After you take the offer, we'll line up a pickup slot built around your schedule — commonly same-day or next-day if you're anywhere in Onekama or the wider Manistee County area. Our trucks are out this way constantly, so finding a time is almost never a problem. One call and it's booked.
Signing a car over in Michigan comes with more forms than most folks bargain for — doubly so when the title is tangled or there's still a loan attached. Our drivers bring every document, handle this process daily, and file it right the first time, so nothing comes back to bite you down the road.
Once your Onekama vehicle is ours, it moves on to a second life — resold, broken down for parts, or recycled at licensed yards that follow every Michigan environmental rule. Nothing gets dumped or left behind; each car is dealt with the right way.

Onekama is a village in Manistee County, Michigan, with a population of 399 as of the 2020 census. The name derives from the Anishinaabe word Ona-ga-maa, meaning "singing water." Located on the northeast shore of Portage Lake, Onekama has deep roots in Michigan's lumber era and a colorful early history shaped by practical necessity.
The village's story began with the 1845 settlement of Portage at Portage Point, established at the western end of Portage Lake. In 1871, frustrated landowners around the landlocked lake took dramatic action, digging a channel through a narrow isthmus to drain water from a sawmill operation. This engineering feat lowered Portage Lake by twelve to fourteen feet and brought it to the same level as Lake Michigan. The settlement relocated to the newly exposed northeastern shore and was officially designated as Onekama with its own post office that same week.
The new village grew quickly. By 1880, the first public buildings appeared, including the Pierce gristmill and the Gibert brothers' sawmill. The first school opened in 1882, followed in 1883 by the Glen House, a large summer hotel built near mineral springs believed to have medicinal properties. When the village incorporated in 1891, it merged with the earlier Brookfield settlement, creating a narrow village about one and a half miles long. A railroad branch arrived in 1889, connecting Onekama to the larger region. Today, Onekama remains a quiet community shaped by its unique past as a place where residents literally reshaped their landscape to meet their needs.
