Pomeroy, the county seat of Garfield County, Washington, sits in a region rich with history spanning from ancient Native American trails to modern times. The city also voted to prohibit alcohol in 1912, a measure that lasted until national prohibition's repeal in 1933. Today, Pomeroy is the only incorporated city in Garfield County, with a 2020 population of 1,389.
