South Range is a village in Adams Township in Houghton County, Michigan, located about five miles southwest of Houghton on M-26. As of the 2020 census, the village had a population of 750 and covers 0.36 square miles. The community is bordered on the east by the unincorporated community of Baltic and serves as a cooperating community of the Keweenaw National Historical Park.
The village's origins trace to 1902, when the Wheal Kate Mining Company platted South Range to support its nearby copper mining operations, though the mine ultimately proved unsuccessful. In 1906, the community initially sought incorporation under the name Stanton but chose South Range instead, reflecting its location at the south end of Michigan's copper range, since another Stanton already existed in the state. Italian immigrants formed the dominant ethnic group during these early years.

On December 11, 1913, just days after the mass murder at the Dally boardinghouse in Painesdale, the Citizens' Alliance conducted a raid in South Range.
