We buy cars for cash all over Wheelwright and the surrounding Floyd County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
Plenty of folks figure a tired old car is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and the figure tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what yours is genuinely worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. A lot of them will dangle a tempting number, then disappear once they've seen it, or shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's simply not how we work.
We service every part of Wheelwright, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition. A genuine offer comes back inside two minutes — nobody calling you back later, nobody twisting your arm.
Say yes and choose a time that suits you — frequently same-day or the day after. We roll out to wherever the car sits in Wheelwright: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, loads the car, and puts payment in your hands before pulling away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
You've probably heard how it goes elsewhere: a high number to reel you in, then the driver arrives, "finds" a bad converter or a shot transmission mount, and suddenly your offer is $300 lighter. We've lost count of how many Wheelwright sellers have told us that exact story. We price your car honestly up front, and that figure is what we hand over — full stop.
After you take the offer, we'll line up a pickup slot built around your schedule — commonly same-day or next-day if you're anywhere in Wheelwright or the wider Floyd County area. Our trucks are out this way constantly, so finding a time is almost never a problem. One call and it's booked.
Signing a car over in Kentucky comes with more forms than most folks bargain for — doubly so when the title is tangled or there's still a loan attached. Our drivers bring every document, handle this process daily, and file it right the first time, so nothing comes back to bite you down the road.
Once your Wheelwright vehicle is ours, it moves on to a second life — resold, broken down for parts, or recycled at licensed yards that follow every Kentucky environmental rule. Nothing gets dumped or left behind; each car is dealt with the right way.

Wheelwright is a home rule-class city located in Floyd County, Kentucky, nestled in the valley of the Right Fork Otter Creek at the southern end of the county. The city was founded in 1916 when the Elk Horn Coal Company purchased land from the Hall family and established a post office bearing the name of the company's president, Jere H. Wheelwright. The city was officially incorporated the following year. As a coal town, Elk Horn built comprehensive facilities for miners and their families, including housing, stores, churches, schools, and medical facilities. At its peak, the coal company employed at least 2,300 miners. Over the decades, ownership of the coal camp changed hands several times, passing from Elk Horn to Inland Steel in 1930 and then to Island Creek Coal in 1966. The mine closed in the 1970s, marking a significant transition for the community. After abandonment, the Kentucky Housing Corporation purchased the town, rehabilitated the homes, and sold them to residents. Wheelwright also gained recognition as home to one of the pack horse libraries in the 1930s and early 1940s. In recent years, Big Creek Missions has contributed to community recovery by purchasing a former church building in 2018 and converting it into a Christian Mission Retreat Center, while providing support through architecture, landscaping, and food banks. The population has declined substantially, from 1,042 residents in 2000 to 509 at the 2020 census, reflecting broader economic challenges following the coal industry's decline.
