  • Every DMV form rides along with us — one signature and you're finished
  • Free towing is baked in — never carved out of your offer
  • You choose the pickup time and we plan around it, all across Kodiak and Kodiak Island County

The Process

How It Works in Kodiak

From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.

1

Tell Us About the Car

Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition. A genuine offer comes back inside two minutes — nobody calling you back later, nobody twisting your arm.

2

We Drive Out to Kodiak

Say yes and choose a time that suits you — frequently same-day or the day after. We roll out to wherever the car sits in Kodiak: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.

3

Get Paid Before We Leave

Our driver shows up with the paperwork, loads the car, and puts payment in your hands before pulling away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.

Why Wee Pay Cash For Cars in Kodiak?

Done Properly — Start to Finish

The Quote Is the Price — Locked In

You've probably heard how it goes elsewhere: a high number to reel you in, then the driver arrives, "finds" a bad converter or a shot transmission mount, and suddenly your offer is $300 lighter. We've lost count of how many Kodiak sellers have told us that exact story. We price your car honestly up front, and that figure is what we hand over — full stop.

Setting Up Your Kodiak Pickup

After you take the offer, we'll line up a pickup slot built around your schedule — commonly same-day or next-day if you're anywhere in Kodiak or the wider Kodiak Island County area. Our trucks are out this way constantly, so finding a time is almost never a problem. One call and it's booked.

The Paperwork Is on Us

Signing a car over in Alaska comes with more forms than most folks bargain for — doubly so when the title is tangled or there's still a loan attached. Our drivers bring every document, handle this process daily, and file it right the first time, so nothing comes back to bite you down the road.

Where Your Car Goes Next

Once your Kodiak vehicle is ours, it moves on to a second life — resold, broken down for parts, or recycled at licensed yards that follow every Alaska environmental rule. Nothing gets dumped or left behind; each car is dealt with the right way.

What We Buy in Kodiak

Whatever Shape It's In, We're Interested

Every car we look at in Kodiak falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.

Good Running Condition

Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.

Junk / Scrap Condition

Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.

Salvage / Totaled

Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.

Bad Motor or Transmission

Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.

No Title in Hand

Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.

Our Promise in Kodiak

Why Kodiak Sellers Choose Us

Quoted Price Is Final

No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.

Free Towing, Every Time

There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Kodiak.

Any Condition Considered

Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Kodiak on its own, not by a blanket rule.

Paid Before It Leaves

You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.

Common Questions

FAQ — Cash for Cars in Kodiak

Selling Your Title in Alaska

How to Sign Over a Car Title in Alaska

Selling a car in Kodiak means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what Alaska asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.

Where to sign

In Alaska, sign and date the title in the seller area and fill in the odometer.

Notary required?

No — notarization is not required.

Your license plates

Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.

Lost your title?

No problem — request a duplicate title from the Alaska DMV (Form 812).

No title in hand? Bring your ID and registration and we will sort out the Alaska paperwork with you.

Good to know: Plates stay with the seller in Alaska, not the vehicle.

For the official rules, see the Alaska DMV title page.

A Little About Kodiak

The Story of Kodiak, AK

Kodiak is the main city on Kodiak Island in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska, serving as the hub for all commercial transportation to and from the island's seven communities via ferry and airline. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 5,581, making it the tenth-largest city in Alaska.

The Alutiiq people have inhabited the Kodiak Archipelago for more than 7,000 years before Russian settlement began in 1792. Alexander Baranov relocated a trading post to St. Paul's Harbor, which developed into modern Kodiak and became a key center for harvesting sea otters. This Russian presence led to wars with and enslavement of native peoples over more than 150 years. Following the 1867 Alaska Purchase, Kodiak transformed into a commercial fishing center, a role that remains central to its economy today.

The twentieth century brought two major natural disasters. In 1912, the eruption of Novarupta, located 160 miles away, covered the town with one foot of ash. Then in March 1964, a tsunami from the Alaska earthquake struck with 30-foot waves, killing 15 people and causing eleven million dollars in damage. Since that earthquake, Kodiak has been headquarters for the Native Village of Afognak, a federally recognized Alutiiq Alaska Native tribe.

Today, commercial fishing remains the economic mainstay, while tourism centered on hunting and fishing for salmon, halibut, and wildlife also contributes to the local economy. The city supports four public elementary schools, a middle and high school, and a branch of the University of Alaska.
