Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of Brookside, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.

Selling a car in Alabama takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed Alabama yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in Brookside falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Brookside.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Brookside on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in Brookside means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what Alabama asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In Alabama, sign the back of the title in the seller section and record the odometer reading.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — apply for a replacement title through the AL Department of Revenue (MVT 12-1 form).
No title in hand? We can often still buy it — bring your ID and registration and we will walk you through what Alabama needs.
Good to know: Vehicles 35 years and newer need an odometer disclosure on the title.

Brookside is a town in north-central Jefferson County, Alabama, with a population of 1,253 as of the 2020 census. Named for the Five-Mile Creek that flows through it, Brookside began as a coal mining operation when the Brookside mine opened in 1886. The following year, the Sloss Iron and Steel Company purchased the mine to supply fuel for their Birmingham blast furnaces. The company installed advanced processing equipment including beehive coke ovens and a Robinson-Ramsey Coal Washer, positioning Brookside at the forefront of mining technology in the Birmingham District at the turn of the century. The town served as headquarters for four Sloss-owned mines in the area and was incorporated in 1898.
Sloss recruited heavily for skilled workers, drawing many Czechoslovak immigrants and their families to Brookside. These Eastern European miners left a lasting cultural mark on the town, founding a Russian Orthodox church that became one of the first south of the Mason-Dixon Line. The miners were notably well-organized, conducting a successful strike in 1906. Mining operations fluctuated significantly between 1910 and 1920, with worker numbers ranging from 54 to over 600. The 1920 Alabama coal strike combined with declining coal markets led to the mine's permanent closure in 1921, though the town endured. Today, Brookside retains its Eastern European character, with Saint Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church continuing to serve approximately 70 congregants and hosting an annual Russian and Slavic Food Festival each November.
