Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.

  • We bring the DMV paperwork and walk you through it at pickup.

The Process

How It Works in Fulton

From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.

1

Tell Us About the Car

Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.

2

We Drive Out to Fulton

Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in Fulton: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.

3

Get Paid Before We Leave

Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.

Check Your Paperwork

Can I Sell My Car in Fulton?

Two questions. Tells you exactly where you stand.

Do you have the title in your name?

Is there still a loan or lien on the car?

This includes title loans, and any bank or lender listed as lienholder.

If you have the title and it's paid off

You're good to go

Clean title, no lien. Have the title, a photo ID, and the keys ready at pickup — our driver brings the rest of the paperwork.

If you've lost the title (and there's no lien)

Still workable

A missing title usually isn't a dealbreaker. Bring a photo ID and the vehicle registration if you have it. We handle no-title sales regularly — just tell us your situation when you call.

If there's still a lien or title loan on the car

Not yet — the lien has to be cleared first

A car with an active lien or title loan can't be sold until the lender releases it. Pay off the balance, get the lien release from your lender, and the title becomes yours to sell. Once that's done, give us a call — we'll buy it.

If you're not sure whether there's a lien

Easy to check

Look at the front of your title — if a bank or lender is printed in the lienholder section, there's a lien on the car. If you financed it and haven't paid it off, assume there is one. Still unsure? Call us and we'll work through it with you.

If you have no title and aren't sure about a lien

Check with your lender

Without the title in hand, the quickest way to know is to contact the lender you financed through, or request a title record from your state's motor vehicle office. If you never financed the car, there's almost certainly no lien. Call us and we'll help you sort it out.

Selling Your Title in New York

How to Sign Over a Car Title in New York

Selling a car in Fulton means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what New York asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.

Where to sign

In New York, sign the title in the seller section and complete the odometer and bill of sale (MV-912).

Notary required?

No — notarization is not required.

Your license plates

Return your plates to the state to stop registration fees.

Lost your title?

No problem — apply for a duplicate title (MV-902) with the NY DMV.

No title in hand? Cars 1972 and older may not have a title in New York — we will confirm what applies.

Good to know: New York plates must be returned to the DMV to cancel registration and insurance.

For the official rules, see the New York DMV title page.

Why Wee Pay Cash For Cars in Fulton?

Done Properly — Start to Finish

The Quote Is the Price

The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.

We Pick Up on Your Schedule

Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Fulton or Oswego County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.

We Handle the Paperwork

Selling a car in New York takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. Don't have the title? That's usually workable — just tell us up front. The one thing we can't buy is a car with an active lien or title loan on it.

Towing Is Free, and You're Paid Before It Leaves

The tow costs you nothing — it isn't folded into the offer or taken out afterward. You're paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.

Where Your Car Goes Next

Every car we buy may be resold at auction, used for parts, or recycled at a licensed New York yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.

What We Buy in Fulton

Whatever Shape It's In, We're Interested

Every car we look at in Fulton falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.

Good Running Condition

Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.

Junk / Scrap Condition

Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.

Salvage / Totaled

Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.

Bad Motor or Transmission

Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.

No Title in Hand

Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. The one exception: we can't buy a car that still has an active lien or title loan on it.

Junk Car Prices — Fulton, NY

What Is a Junk Car Worth in Fulton?

The floor on any junk car is its weight in scrap metal. As of September 2026, U.S. yards are paying roughly $150–$200 a ton for whole cars. Multiply that by your car's weight and you have the least it's worth.

Cars with good parts, a catalytic converter still on, or an engine that runs are often worth more than scrap — that's why we price every car on a call, not a chart.

The scrap math

weight ÷ 2,000 × price per ton

A 3,300 lb sedan is 1.65 tons. At $175 a ton, that's about $290 in metal.

Can I get $500 for my junk car?

Sometimes. At today's rates a full-size truck or SUV can reach $500 on weight alone. Smaller cars usually need something extra — a newer year, good parts, or a running engine.

Vehicle typeExamplesTypical weightScrap value
Compact carCivic, Corolla, Focus · 2,800 lbs Civic, Corolla, Focus 2,800 lbs $210–$280
Midsize sedanCamry, Accord, Malibu · 3,300 lbs Camry, Accord, Malibu 3,300 lbs $250–$330

Pickup truckF-150, Silverado, Ram · 4,800 lbs F-150, Silverado, Ram 4,800 lbs $360–$480
Full-size SUVTahoe, Expedition, Suburban · 5,600 lbs Tahoe, Expedition, Suburban 5,600 lbs $420–$560

Scrap rates as of September 2026, updated monthly. Scrap value is a floor, not a quote — yards subtract for tires and fluids, and your actual offer depends on your car. Call 800-219-4551 for your real offer.

A Little About Fulton

The Story of Fulton, NY

Fulton sits along the Oswego River in western Oswego County, New York, and is named for Robert Fulton, the inventor of the steamboat. The city grew up on both banks of the river. The west side was long known as Oswego Falls, after the nearby rapids, and was among the first areas settled in the original Town of Granby, with early settlements at the Upper Landing and the Lower Landing. The name Oswego comes from an Iroquois word meaning "the outpouring."

Water shaped Fulton's growth. On July 4, 1826, a large crowd gathered as the cornerstone of the first lock on the Oswego Canal was laid in the village with Masonic ceremonies. The canal, completed in 1828, linked the Erie Canal to Lake Ontario and carried coal, farm products, and other goods, supporting flour mills, sawmills, and factories along the river. Fulton was incorporated as a village in 1835, and in 1902 it merged with the Village of Oswego Falls to form the City of Fulton.

In the 20th century, Fulton became known for manufacturing, especially its Nestlé chocolate plant. At its peak, about 1,500 workers produced roughly a million pounds of candy a day, earning Fulton a reputation as a city that smelled of chocolate. The canal remains a focal point of the community today, drawing boaters and visitors.
