Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of San Gregorio, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.
Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in San Gregorio: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.
Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in San Gregorio or San Mateo County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.
Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in San Gregorio falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in San Gregorio.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in San Gregorio on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in San Gregorio means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.
No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.
Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

San Gregorio, whose name derives from Pope Gregory I, is an unincorporated community in San Mateo County located south of Half Moon Bay, one mile inland on Highway 84 from San Gregorio State Beach. Today it is home to 214 people and sits within the San Francisco Bay Area's cool summer Mediterranean climate, where fog and low overcast frequently blanket mornings and nights, particularly in summer months.
Before European arrival, the Ohlone people, specifically the Oljon tribe, thrived in this region along the lower drainages of San Gregorio Creek and Pescadero Creek. An estimated 157 people lived here, with their headman Lachi or Lachigi leading the community. The Spanish Portolà Expedition passed through in October 1769, camping for three days near present-day San Gregorio. Franciscan missionary Juan Crespi praised the area's potential in his diary, noting the welcoming Ohlone people and describing it as suitable for a mission, which he named Nuestro Padre Santo Domingo. No mission was ultimately established here, however, as the Spanish missions that followed took a more inland route through San Jose. The area later became part of Rancho San Gregoria during the Mexican era.
San Gregorio flourished in the 1850s as a resort destination where wealthy San Franciscans traveled by stagecoach to enjoy fishing, hunting, sea bathing, and boat races at the San Gregorio House. The community developed further with the establishment of the San Gregorio General Store in 1889 and seven cheese factories by 1915. A Chinese community also lived along the creek until heavy rains destroyed their buildings in the nineteenth century.
