The Process

How It Works in Colton

From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.

1

Tell Us About the Car

Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition. A genuine offer comes back inside two minutes — nobody calling you back later, nobody twisting your arm.

2

We Drive Out to Colton

Say yes and choose a time that suits you — frequently same-day or the day after. We roll out to wherever the car sits in Colton: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.

3

Get Paid Before We Leave

Our driver shows up with the paperwork, loads the car, and puts payment in your hands before pulling away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.

Why Wee Pay Cash For Cars in Colton?

Done Properly — Start to Finish

The Quote Is the Price — Locked In

You've probably heard how it goes elsewhere: a high number to reel you in, then the driver arrives, "finds" a bad converter or a shot transmission mount, and suddenly your offer is $300 lighter. We've lost count of how many Colton sellers have told us that exact story. We price your car honestly up front, and that figure is what we hand over — full stop.

Setting Up Your Colton Pickup

After you take the offer, we'll line up a pickup slot built around your schedule — commonly same-day or next-day if you're anywhere in Colton or the wider San Bernardino County area. Our trucks are out this way constantly, so finding a time is almost never a problem. One call and it's booked.

The Paperwork Is on Us

Signing a car over in California comes with more forms than most folks bargain for — doubly so when the title is tangled or there's still a loan attached. Our drivers bring every document, handle this process daily, and file it right the first time, so nothing comes back to bite you down the road.

Where Your Car Goes Next

Once your Colton vehicle is ours, it moves on to a second life — resold, broken down for parts, or recycled at licensed yards that follow every California environmental rule. Nothing gets dumped or left behind; each car is dealt with the right way.

What We Buy in Colton

Whatever Shape It's In, We're Interested

Every car we look at in Colton falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.

Good Running Condition

Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.

Junk / Scrap Condition

Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.

Salvage / Totaled

Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.

Bad Motor or Transmission

Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.

No Title in Hand

Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.

Our Promise in Colton

Why Colton Sellers Choose Us

Quoted Price Is Final

No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.

Free Towing, Every Time

There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Colton.

Any Condition Considered

Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Colton on its own, not by a blanket rule.

Paid Before It Leaves

You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.

Common Questions

FAQ — Cash for Cars in Colton

Selling Your Title in California

How to Sign Over a Car Title in California

Selling a car in Colton means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.

Where to sign

In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.

Notary required?

No — notarization is not required.

Your license plates

Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.

Lost your title?

No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.

No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.

Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

For the official rules, see the California DMV title page.

A Little About Colton

The Story of Colton, CA

Colton is a city located in San Bernardino County in the Inland Empire region of California, situated approximately four miles south of downtown San Bernardino. Known as the Hub City, Colton had a population of 53,909 according to the 2020 census, representing modest growth from 52,154 residents in 2010.

The area's history stretches back centuries. Before Spanish settlement, the Tongva, Serrano, and Cahuilla peoples inhabited the region, with the Tongva village of Homhoangna located near what is now Colton. During the Mission Era, the area became part of Spanish and Mexican ranchos, including Rancho Jurupa and Rancho San Bernardino. New Mexico pioneers settled in the southwestern area, known as Agua Mansa, beginning in 1842.

Colton's modern identity took shape after American settlement. George Cooley arrived from England in 1853 and established what became Cooley Ranch along the Santa Ana River. The city itself was named after David Douty Colton, a brigadier general of the California State Militia and later vice president of the Southern Pacific Railroad. When the Southern Pacific Railway built eastward from Los Angeles in 1875, Colton was founded and subsequently incorporated in 1887.

The city became notable as the site of Colton Crossing, one of the busiest at-grade railroad crossings in the nation, installed in 1882. By the 1990s, increased traffic from imports through Los Angeles and Long Beach ports created serious congestion. In 2013, the crossing was replaced by a fly-over structure. Though passenger trains pass through, Colton has no passenger rail service.
