Got a vehicle you're finally ready to part with? The deciding is the hard part, and that's behind you. From here, Wee Pay Cash For Cars keeps it refreshingly painless: reach out, hear your number, give us the nod, and we'll arrive with cash in hand. No dragged-out process, no games.
We buy cars for cash all over Platina and the surrounding Shasta County area — running or not, any make, any model, free towing, scheduled pickup.
Plenty of folks figure a tired old car is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and the figure tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what yours is genuinely worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. A lot of them will dangle a tempting number, then disappear once they've seen it, or shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's simply not how we work.
We service every part of Platina, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition. A genuine offer comes back inside two minutes — nobody calling you back later, nobody twisting your arm.
Say yes and choose a time that suits you — frequently same-day or the day after. We roll out to wherever the car sits in Platina: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, loads the car, and puts payment in your hands before pulling away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
You've probably heard how it goes elsewhere: a high number to reel you in, then the driver arrives, "finds" a bad converter or a shot transmission mount, and suddenly your offer is $300 lighter. We've lost count of how many Platina sellers have told us that exact story. We price your car honestly up front, and that figure is what we hand over — full stop.
After you take the offer, we'll line up a pickup slot built around your schedule — commonly same-day or next-day if you're anywhere in Platina or the wider Shasta County area. Our trucks are out this way constantly, so finding a time is almost never a problem. One call and it's booked.
Signing a car over in California comes with more forms than most folks bargain for — doubly so when the title is tangled or there's still a loan attached. Our drivers bring every document, handle this process daily, and file it right the first time, so nothing comes back to bite you down the road.
Once your Platina vehicle is ours, it moves on to a second life — resold, broken down for parts, or recycled at licensed yards that follow every California environmental rule. Nothing gets dumped or left behind; each car is dealt with the right way.

Platina, an unincorporated community in Shasta County located roughly forty miles west of both Redding and Red Bluff, is home to just thirteen residents according to the 2020 census. The settlement began in 1902 as Noble's Station, named after local resident Don Noble, and functioned as a stagecoach stop connecting Red Bluff to communities including Knob, Wildwood, Peanut, and Hayfork. The tiny station included a boarding house, general store, and post office to serve travelers and residents alike.
During the 1920s, Don Noble and others made a significant discovery of platinum in nearby Beegum Creek. This find transformed the community's identity and led to its renaming as Platina, after the platinum-osmium alloy found in the area. The current post office was established in 1921 and still stands near the original station site, as does the general store, both now operated by residents who attempted unsuccessfully to sell several buildings through eBay in recent years.
Beyond its mining heritage, Platina is home to Saint Herman of Alaska Monastery, a Serbian Orthodox monastic community located just south of town. Founded in 1968 by Fr. Herman Podmoshensky and Fr. Seraphim Rose, the monastery became known for printing ancient Orthodox texts and theological works. Fr. Seraphim, a Pomona College and UC Berkeley graduate, became a prolific author and translator who is revered by Orthodox Christians worldwide, having been locally canonized by the Georgian Orthodox Church, though not formally canonized by any Orthodox synod as of 2024.
