Why Wee Pay Cash For Cars in Alameda?

Done Properly — Start to Finish

The Quote Is the Price

The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.

We Pick Up on Your Schedule

Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Alameda or Alameda County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.

We Handle the Paperwork

Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.

Where Your Car Goes Next

Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.

What We Buy in Alameda

Whatever Shape It's In, We're Interested

Every car we look at in Alameda falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.

Good Running Condition

Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.

Junk / Scrap Condition

Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.

Salvage / Totaled

Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.

Bad Motor or Transmission

Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.

No Title in Hand

Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.

Our Promise in Alameda

Why Alameda Sellers Choose Us

Quoted Price Is Final

No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.

Free Towing, Every Time

There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Alameda.

Any Condition Considered

Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Alameda on its own, not by a blanket rule.

Paid Before It Leaves

You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.

Common Questions

FAQ — Cash for Cars in Alameda

Selling Your Title in California

How to Sign Over a Car Title in California

Selling a car in Alameda means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.

Where to sign

In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.

Notary required?

No — notarization is not required.

Your license plates

Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.

Lost your title?

No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.

No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.

Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

For the official rules, see the California DMV title page.

A Little About Alameda

The Story of Alameda, CA

Alameda, whose name means "tree-lined path" in Spanish, is a city in Alameda County located in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. Built on an informal archipelago consisting of Alameda Island, Bay Farm Island, Coast Guard Island, and smaller islands, the city is home to 78,280 residents as of the 2020 census.

For over three thousand years before Spanish colonization in the late 18th century, the Ohlone tribe inhabited this region, which was originally a low-lying, marshy peninsula connected to Oakland. The Spanish called the area Encinal, meaning "forest of evergreen oak," and it was included in the vast Rancho San Antonio granted by the Spanish king. After Mexican independence in 1821, the land remained part of Mexican territory until the Mexican-American War and California's acquisition by the United States.

Alameda was officially founded as a city on June 6, 1853, consolidating three small settlements: Alameda village, Hibbardsville, and Woodstock. The name was chosen by popular vote that same year. The city quickly developed its infrastructure with the first post office opening in 1854 and Schermerhorn School opening in 1855. A major milestone occurred on September 6, 1869, when the Alameda Terminal became the site of the first transcontinental railroad arrival at San Francisco Bay shores, marking the completion of North America's first coast-to-coast transcontinental railroad. Over the following decades, Alameda became an island through the completion of a tidal canal in 1902, transforming it into a major shipping and industrial hub that attracted workers and sustained economic growth well into the twentieth century.
