Why Wee Pay Cash For Cars in Castro Valley?

Done Properly — Start to Finish

The Quote Is the Price

The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.

We Pick Up on Your Schedule

Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Castro Valley or Alameda County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.

We Handle the Paperwork

Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.

Where Your Car Goes Next

Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.

What We Buy in Castro Valley

Whatever Shape It's In, We're Interested

Every car we look at in Castro Valley falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.

Good Running Condition

Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.

Junk / Scrap Condition

Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.

Salvage / Totaled

Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.

Bad Motor or Transmission

Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.

No Title in Hand

Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.

Our Promise in Castro Valley

Why Castro Valley Sellers Choose Us

Quoted Price Is Final

No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.

Free Towing, Every Time

There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Castro Valley.

Any Condition Considered

Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Castro Valley on its own, not by a blanket rule.

Paid Before It Leaves

You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.

Common Questions

FAQ — Cash for Cars in Castro Valley

Selling Your Title in California

How to Sign Over a Car Title in California

Selling a car in Castro Valley means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.

Where to sign

In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.

Notary required?

No — notarization is not required.

Your license plates

Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.

Lost your title?

No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.

No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.

Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

For the official rules, see the California DMV title page.

A Little About Castro Valley

The Story of Castro Valley, CA

Castro Valley is a census-designated place in Alameda County, California, with a population of 66,441 at the 2020 census, making it the fourth most populous unincorporated area in the state. The community takes its name from Guillermo Castro, a 19th-century Mexican Californio ranchero who owned the land where Castro Valley now stands.

Before European settlement, the Chocheño, a subdivision of the Ohlone Native Americans, inhabited the region. With the arrival of Europeans, Mission San Jose was established in 1797, bringing the area into the Spanish colonial system. Castro Valley became part of the vast Rancho San Lorenzo, a 28,000-acre land grant given to Guillermo Castro in 1840. Castro's gambling debts forced him to sell portions of his holdings, and the last of his land was sold at a sheriff's sale in 1864 to Faxon Atherton for $400,000.

The area developed gradually through the late 1800s. Redwood School, the first public school in the region, was built in 1866. Portuguese families immigrated to the surrounding canyons and established farms that their descendants continue today. Lake Chabot, a reservoir and popular park built in the 1870s by Chinese laborers, became a defining feature of the landscape.

During the 1940s and 1950s, Castro Valley was known for its chicken ranches before transforming into a bedroom community where workers commute to jobs in surrounding areas. Today, the economy is primarily residential, with the health care and social assistance industry providing the most employment and revenue.
