El Macero is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Yolo County, located just outside Davis, California. Named for Bruce Mace, on whose land the community was built, El Macero has a rich history stretching back generations. In 2006, eastern and southern portions of Davis were added to the 95618 zone. According to the 2020 census, El Macero had a population of 1,074, with a notably mature demographic profile featuring a median age of 58 years.
