Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of La Selva Beach, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.
Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in La Selva Beach: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.
Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in La Selva Beach or Santa Cruz County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.
Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in La Selva Beach falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in La Selva Beach.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in La Selva Beach on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in La Selva Beach means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.
No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.
Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

La Selva Beach, whose name means "The Forest" in Spanish, is a census-designated place in Santa Cruz County, California, situated at an elevation of 151 feet. According to the 2020 census, the community has a population of 2,531 residents spread across 5.3 square miles of land. The area neighbors Seascape to the north, Corralitos to the east, and Watsonville to the south, as part of the broader Aptos region.
The community's story began in 1925 when real estate developer David Batchelor founded it as Rob Roy, a name that reflected its origins surrounded by dense conifer woods. In 1935, new developer Edward Burghard renamed the community La Selva Beach. Most of the existing houses were constructed during the early 1960s. In the 1970s, residents successfully petitioned the state government to remove "Beach" from directional signs, though the official name remains La Selva Beach.
La Selva Beach lies near the San Andreas Fault and experienced the effects of the Loma Prieta earthquake on October 17, 1989. The community first appeared as a census-designated place in the 2010 census. Recreation opportunities abound, particularly at nearby Manresa State Beach, where visitors can fish, surf, and boogie board. The central gathering point is Triangle Park, which features a distinctive triangular structure displaying the flags of the world and a horseshoe pit. The community hosts an annual Fourth of July Parade, which, though shorter and less known than Aptos's concurrent celebration, remains a cherished local tradition.
