Got a vehicle you're finally ready to part with? The hardest part is deciding, and you've already done that. From here, Wee Pay Cash For Cars keeps things simple and straightforward: reach out, hear your offer, give us the go-ahead, and we'll show up ready to pay. No long wait, no runaround.

Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of Santa Cruz, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.
Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in Santa Cruz: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.
Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Santa Cruz or Santa Cruz County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.
Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in Santa Cruz falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Santa Cruz.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Santa Cruz on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in Santa Cruz means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.
No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.
Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

Santa Cruz, whose name means "Holy Cross" in Spanish, is the largest city and county seat of Santa Cruz County, California. With a 2020 census population of 62,956, this northern Monterey Bay community has become a major tourist destination known for its beaches, surf culture, and historic landmarks.
The Santa Cruz region has supported human life for at least 12,000 years. Before Spanish arrival in the late 18th century, the Awaswas nation of Ohlone people inhabited the area, calling it Aulinta. The Spanish Portolá expedition passed through in 1769, naming the San Lorenzo River and El Arroyo de la Santísima Cruz. In 1791, Father Fermín Lasuén established Mission Santa Cruz, the twelfth California mission, to convert the local Ohlone people. A civilian settlement called Villa de Branciforte was founded nearby in 1797, becoming one of only three civilian towns established during Spanish rule.
Following Mexican independence and the secularization of California missions in 1833, mission lands were divided into large rancho grants. After the Mexican-American War, the territory passed to the United States in 1848. Santa Cruz was incorporated as a town in 1866 and became a charter city in 1876. The completion of the South Pacific Coast Railroad in 1880 and the creation of the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk in 1904 established the city as a premier seaside resort. The establishment of the University of California, Santa Cruz in 1965 further transformed Santa Cruz into a vibrant college town.
