Got a vehicle you're finally ready to part with? The hardest part is deciding, and you've already done that. From here, Wee Pay Cash For Cars keeps things simple and straightforward: reach out, hear your offer, give us the go-ahead, and we'll show up ready to pay. No long wait, no runaround.
El Cajon sits right in the heart of San Diego County, and we've spent years buying cars from neighborhoods all across it. Wherever you are — a busy street near downtown or a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of town — we know the area and we come to you.
Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of El Cajon, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.
Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in El Cajon: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.
Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in El Cajon or San Diego County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.
Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in El Cajon falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in El Cajon.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in El Cajon on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in El Cajon means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.
No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.
Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

El Cajon, located 17 miles east of downtown San Diego in San Diego County, takes its name from the Spanish word for "the box," referring to the distinctive box-like shape of the valley that surrounds the city. The name was first recorded on September 10, 1821, as an alternative designation for the rancho, and it became the official name of the modern town in 1905 at the insistence of California banker and historian Zoeth Skinner Eldredge.
The city's history is deeply rooted in the Spanish and Mexican periods. During Spanish rule, mission padres discovered the El Cajon Valley's pasturelands ideal for supporting cattle herds, with surrounding foothills serving as natural barriers and a watershed. Following California's transition to Mexican governance, Governor Pio Pico granted over 48,800 acres of the El Cajon Valley to Dona Maria Antonio Estudillo in 1845 to settle a government debt. After the Mexican-American War, the United States honored these land grants through the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. In 1868, Los Angeles land developer Isaac Lankershim acquired much of the rancho and employed Amaziah Lord Knox to manage it. Knox established a hotel in 1876 to serve travelers between San Diego and Julian, and by 1878, the growing settlement had 25 families. The San Diego, Cuyamaca and Eastern Railway reached El Cajon in the 1880s, and the city was formally incorporated in 1912. For much of the twentieth century, El Cajon was known for grape, avocado, and citrus agriculture. As of the 2020 census, El Cajon had a population of 106,215.
