Got a vehicle you're finally ready to part with? The hardest part is deciding, and you've already done that. From here, Wee Pay Cash For Cars keeps things simple and straightforward: reach out, hear your offer, give us the go-ahead, and we'll show up ready to pay. No long wait, no runaround.
Port Costa sits right in the heart of Contra Costa County, and we've spent years buying cars from neighborhoods all across it. Wherever you are — a busy street near downtown or a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of town — we know the area and we come to you.
Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of Port Costa, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.
Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in Port Costa: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.
Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Port Costa or Contra Costa County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.
Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in Port Costa falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Port Costa.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Port Costa on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in Port Costa means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.
No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.
Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

Port Costa is a small census-designated place in Contra Costa County, situated on the southern shore of the Carquinez Strait in the East Bay region of the San Francisco Bay Area. With a population of 190 as of the 2020 census, this modest community carries a rich history tied to California's transportation and agricultural development.
Founded in 1879 as a landing for the railroad ferry Solano, owned and operated by the Central Pacific Railroad, Port Costa quickly became a vital hub on the transcontinental railroad route. The ferry carried entire trains across the Carquinez Strait from Benicia to Port Costa, where they continued to the Oakland Pier. Businessman George W. McNear recognized the town's potential and built the Port Costa Warehouses and Dock Company in 1880. After purchasing the surrounding ranch land in 1883, McNear developed Port Costa into the busiest port on the West Coast, primarily shipping wheat.
The town's early prosperity was supported by multiple industries. The Port Costa Brick Works operated from 1905 until 1991, while the railroad and shipping remained central to the economy. However, Port Costa's importance declined after California's wheat output dropped in the early twentieth century and especially following the Southern Pacific Railroad's completion of a bridge at Martinez in 1930, which replaced the ferry crossing.
Today, Port Costa survives as a destination for day and weekend visitors. Historic buildings including the Burlington Hotel, McNear's warehouse, and the Warehouse Cafe continue to draw people to this small waterfront community, maintaining its connection to the past while adapting to present times.
