Plenty of people assume an old clunker is worth next to nothing — dead engine, dented panels, or parked so long the tires have gone flat. Here's the truth: we'll take it in whatever shape it's in, and what we offer tends to surprise people in the best way. Call 800-219-4551 and we'll tell you what your car is really worth.
Anyone can post an ad promising to buy your car. Plenty will dangle a tempting offer, then vanish once they've seen it — or quietly shave the price the moment they're standing in your driveway. That's not how we work.
We service every part of Montebello, including:
From your first phone call to cash in your pocket, it's just three steps — no detours, no surprise charges.
Give us the year, make, model, and rough condition, and we'll have a real offer for you in about two minutes.
Say yes and pick a time that works for you — often same-day, or within 24 to 48 hours. We come out to wherever the car sits in Montebello: your place, your job, anywhere. You stay put.
Our driver shows up with the paperwork, puts payment in your hands, and then tows the car away. Start to finish in well under half an hour.
The price we quote is the price you get. As long as your car matches what you described, nothing changes at pickup.
Tell us a time that works for you, anywhere in Montebello or Los Angeles County. We come to you — you don't drive anywhere.
Selling a car in California takes a few forms, and our driver brings what's needed and walks you through it. The car does need a clear title in your name — no active loans or liens.
Every car we buy could be potentially resold at auction, or used for parts, or recycled at a licensed California yard. Nothing gets dumped or left behind.
Every car we look at in Montebello falls into one of a few buckets below — and every one of them gets a real cash offer.
Starts, drives, and still has life left in it. These usually get our strongest offers since less work is needed before resale.
Rusted through, stripped, or simply too far gone to drive again. We still buy these and pay based on weight and scrap value.
Carries a salvage title or was written off by insurance after an accident. We buy these with or without paperwork in hand.
Blown engine, seized motor, slipping gears, or stuck in park — mechanical failures like these don't change whether we'll buy it, just the number.
Lost it or never had it? Missing paperwork slows things down a little, but it rarely stops a sale. Note: we're not able to buy cars with an active loan still on them.
No surprise deductions when our driver shows up. The number we give you over the phone or online is the number you get paid.
There's no towing fee folded into the offer and no fee taken out after. Pickup and tow are always free in Montebello.
Running, wrecked, missing parts, or sitting on a salvage title — we evaluate every car in Montebello on its own, not by a blanket rule.
You get paid on the spot at pickup, before the car ever leaves your driveway.
Selling a car in Montebello means signing the title over the right way. Title rules are set at the state level, so here's exactly what California asks of you — and remember, when you sell to us, our driver brings the paperwork and walks you through every step at pickup.
In California, sign the front of the title on line 1A as the registered owner; a second registered owner signs on line 1B. Then complete the odometer and sale-price lines.
No — notarization is not required.
Keep your plates — they stay with you and can transfer to your next car.
No problem — file an Application for Duplicate Title (REG 227) with the CA DMV.
No title in hand? We regularly buy cars without titles in California — have your ID and registration handy.
Good to know: California requires a smog certification on most sales, though many older and non-running cars are exempt.

Montebello, whose name means "Beautiful Mountain" in Italian, is a city located eight miles east of downtown Los Angeles in Los Angeles County, positioned between East Los Angeles and the San Gabriel Valley. Today it is part of both the Gateway Cities and San Gabriel Valley communities.
The land that became Montebello was originally home to the Tongva people, indigenous inhabitants of the Los Angeles basin and nearby Channel Islands. When Spanish explorer Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo arrived in 1542, he encountered the Tongva, whom the Spanish called "Gabrielino" due to their distinct language. Franciscan missionaries Father Angel Somera and Father Pedro Cambon established Mission San Gabriel Arcángel in 1771, marking the beginning of Spanish settlement in the region. After a destructive flood six years later, the mission relocated north to present-day San Gabriel.
The current city developed from land that once comprised three ranchos under Spanish colonial grants. Following the Mexican-American War, Italian immigrant Alessandro Repetto owned much of the area. After his death in 1885, businessmen including banker Isaias W. Hellman and Harris Newmark purchased the rancho. In May 1899, Montebello was developed from approximately 1,200 acres of their holdings. With guidance from hydraulic engineer William Mulholland, the partners established a water system and subdivided the land for both a townsite and small-scale agriculture. The city adopted its present name in 1920, replacing the original name Newmark, and officially incorporated on October 16, 1920.
Originally an agricultural community celebrated for flowers, fruits, and vegetables, Montebello's official seal features a red poinsettia honoring these roots. At the 2020 census, the population was 63,833.
